OPENING SOON!

Spring, we've had a taste of it. It was lovely to feel the warmth of the season tease us all with what will be an everyday occurence sooner than most of us are ready. The gardens started to show their first weeds...They were quickly dispelled to the compost. The Canadian garlic is sprouting in it's bed. Oh how lovely, as it was very difficult not to use last year's crop for culinary purposes. (I did use one bulb) The many blueberry bushes planted last year have survived and have buds. The new strawberry bed is looking like it is supposed to. The blackberry canes are greening. The farm is becoming a farm. The Spring list of to-do-jobs is growing. That isn't as exciting as seeing the first sign of Spring. No not a robin but the patio furniture arriving in the stores. Then...

There are the Koi. They are visiting the shoreline if one stands close enough and waits. Although it is still too early to put offspring in their mini pond beds, (This recent snow storm attests to that) it will soon be time. I've scheduled the opening weekend to be the weekend after Mother's Day. There is still the chance of frosty evenings and mornings in May. The nursery requires steady warmth. Be patient the babies will be here soon.

The KOI season here at B'n'Koi is over for now. All the babies have been sold. Thank you much for an awesome season.

There is the possibiliy that later in the season perhaps towards the end of July there might be a few more available. At that point in time I have decided that only bulk purchases will be considered and for respect for my time it will now be by appointment only. Should you wish for more than one or two koi you are welcome to make an appointment.

905-892-0179 Leave it ring for more than three rings. When I'm out in the garden or working in the ponds it takes that much time to just get to the phone. (Cell phones are dangerous) I know many of you are used to this instant-on-demand world but I am a proud throwback to passed times and I refuse to comply to this idiocy of instant world. There is too much of my world to enjoy and I intend to enjoy all of it while I am here to do so. Life is short. Summer is shorter. Kids are raised but grandchildren are a beautiful reward.

That being said, as I do have a tendency to pontificate while I'm at a keyboard, I wish you all well. Enjoy your baby koi. Take care, LIVE, LAUGH, LOVE, BE BLESSED!
